Before and After Your Session

If you’re considering a session, it’s natural to wonder if there’s anything you should do beforehand, or how you might feel afterwards.

There’s nothing complicated to prepare, but a few simple things can help you feel more comfortable and get the most from the experience.

Before Your Session

There’s no need to prepare in any particular way, but arriving clean, unhurried, and without time pressure makes a noticeable difference.

If you haven’t eaten for a while, something light beforehand can help you feel more settled. It’s also a good idea to be reasonably hydrated.

A glass of wine beforehand can help some people relax, and that’s absolutely fine. Too much, though, can take away from the experience and make it harder to stay present.

If someone arrives clearly intoxicated, I won’t go ahead with the session, as clear awareness and consent are an important part of how I work.

If you’re wearing jewellery, it’s usually best to remove it beforehand to avoid any damage or oil getting onto it during the session.

In most sessions people are fully undressed, although for the Relax massage some prefer to wear underwear.

If you do choose to wear underwear, it’s worth bearing in mind that oils can affect delicate fabrics, so something simple is usually best. Spa-style disposable options are also available if you prefer.

Just wear whatever feels comfortable to arrive in, there’s nothing specific needed. Most people simply come in everyday, relaxed clothing.

Before arriving, you should complete the request form if you haven’t already done so. This helps ensure everything is clear in advance and allows the session to be shaped around you.

Emotionally, it’s very common to feel a mix of curiosity, anticipation or nervousness, especially if this is something new.

You don’t need to try to “get into the right headspace”. The session is structured to help you settle naturally.

At the Start and End of Your Session

At the start of your session, we begin with a relaxed, unhurried conversation.

This gives you time to arrive, catch your breath, ask any questions, and clarify anything you’d like from the session.

As part of the process, you’ll have completed a request form beforehand, which we briefly go through together to clarify anything and make any adjustments before we begin. In particular, if anything on the form felt unclear, this is a good time to talk it through so everything feels comfortable and understood.

There’s no rush at any point, and this time is not taken from your session.

At the end, things are equally unhurried.

We allow space for you to come back gently, rather than needing to get up and leave straight away. Some people like a few quiet moments before getting dressed, and if needed, you’re welcome to take a little time before driving.

Payment is handled at the end, simply and without any pressure.

If you’d like to shower afterwards, that’s also available.

During the Session

You don’t need to perform, respond in a certain way, or know what to do.

The session is guided, with clear communication throughout, and everything moves at a pace that feels right for you.

The structure is held by me, so you can simply relax into the experience.

You are always in control. You can pause, change direction or stop at any point.

For many people, the most helpful shift is simply allowing themselves to receive, without feeling any need to give something back.

Feeling Comfortable and in Control

The session is always shaped around you, your preferences, your boundaries, and how you feel in the moment.

Before the session, you’ll have completed a request form, which provides a clear starting point. However, nothing is fixed. You can change your mind at any time, and the session can adapt accordingly.

I pay close attention to your responses throughout, but if at any point something doesn’t feel right, it’s important that you say so.

There’s no expectation to “go along” with anything. You won’t offend me, and there will never be any awkwardness or pressure if you want to pause, adjust, or stop altogether.

Your comfort, enjoyment, and sense of safety always come first.

A Note on Boundaries and Communication

In some sessions, such as Sensual Surrender, there may be elements of structured power dynamics explored by mutual agreement.

Where this is the case, clear communication and safety mechanisms (such as agreed safe words) are always in place, ensuring you remain in control throughout.

If you feel unsure about your ability to express how you feel in the moment, it’s important to consider whether that type of session is right for you.

After Your Session

After a session, most people feel calm, relaxed, and sometimes a little quiet or more emotionally present.

There’s no right or wrong way to feel.

If you can, it helps to give yourself a bit of space afterwards rather than heading straight back into something demanding. Even just slowing the pace of the rest of your day can make a difference.

Staying hydrated is a good idea, and having something light to eat can help you feel grounded, particularly after a longer session.

You might feel uplifted, relaxed, or simply at ease. Occasionally, people notice emotions surfacing as they let go more deeply. This is a natural response and nothing to be concerned about, allowing it, rather than holding it back, often feels better.

Some people like to rest or reflect, while others just move gently into the rest of their day. There’s no right or wrong way to approach it.

Home & Hotel Visits

If I’m visiting you at home or a hotel, a few simple things can help the session feel more relaxed and seamless.

You don’t need to prepare anything elaborate, just a comfortable, private space where you won’t be undisturbed.

If possible:

  • Ensure there is enough room for a massage table and space to move comfortably around it

  • Warm the room slightly in advance — oils on the skin can reduce heat retention, so you may feel cooler than usual during the session

  • Have two large bath sheets and a couple of smaller towels available

  • Allow a little time either side so you’re not rushing

These small details help create a more comfortable environment, but there’s no pressure, we can always work with what you have.

If you’re unsure about space or setup, feel free to ask in advance.
